God is speaking. Are you listening?

January is our month in the year that we focus on the topic of Quiet time. Do you have Quiet time with the Lord? Is it something that you only hear about but have never experienced? Tune in for our Instagram Live today at 6pm where we will be talking all things Quiet Time. In case you miss it, don’t worry, it will be saved.

Quiet Time is an essential part of your daily routine. As created beings, we depend on instructions and guidance from our creator to make the most of our days. Creating the right atmosphere for God to communicate with us is setting ourselves up for success daily.

During quiet time, we will read the word, pray and reflect on what we have read. As we do all this, we need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, to hear what He is communicating to us as we do our quiet time. How is He directing us to pray? What sin is He asking us to repent of? What do we need to be grateful for? What encouragement are we receiving? This is all God speaking to us personally and we need to allow Him do so. And then, we ought to respond in obedience.

Since the end of 2021, God has been speaking to me about humility. He has opened my eyes to the things that could stir up pride in my heart, He has shown me scriptures that speak against pride and encourage humility, He has brought into my life people who have shown me how beautiful humility is and now the lesson is cemented. I don’t know what God is preparing me for or sparing me from but I have chosen to walk the path of humility because He has clearly spoken to me so of the need to be humble.

We can only hear clearly from God if we are willing to set aside time to read His word, pray, and be open to hearing what He has for us and finally WALK IN OBEDIENCE!

Jeremiah 33:3  ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

  • Thank you so much…quiet time is so important!
I used to do it until I drifted off into the world. Now I am yearning a new walk with God and I need his presence at all times. Be blessed
